The Land Development Division is responsible for the assignment of all new road names in the unincorporated areas of the county. For a road to receive an official name, there must be at least three parcels/dwellings served by the road. To avoid conflicts when calls are made to the 911 emergency system, new road names cannot sound like existing road names.
