Butte County Public Works is now accepting Credit Card payments via PayGov, our credit card processor! See below for convenience fee charged to the customer:
- Over the Counter - 3% of transaction with $1 minimum
- Online - 3.95% of transaction with $1 minimum
- Pay by phone (with PayGov live operator) - 4.95% of transaction with $1 minimum
NOTE: We are only accepting credit card payments for certain transactions. Please consult with staff at (530) 538-7681 before making a payment.

Public Works Roads - Encroachment/Utility/Transportation Permits, sign sales, copy sales, etc. In the "Purpose of Payment" field, make sure that you enter any related information such as permit number or description of product/service.
Sorry, but at this time we are NOT accepting credit card payment for bus passes.
